HOLIDAY Ballet Workshops!
Nutcracker and Swan Lake Variations Workshop:
Date: Wednesday, December 20th 6pm-8pm
Levels: RAD Intermediate Foundation & Up
We will be focusing on two group variations. ‘The Coffee Dance’ from the Nutcracker and ‘The Little Cygnets’ from Swan Lake. One hour will be spent on each variation with a showing at the end. The choreography will be tailored to accommodate levels in line with the Royal Academy of Dancing’s Intermediate Foundation and up Come share in the chance to feel the thrill of dancing in a coordinated group.
Contemporary Ballet Class:
Date: Wednesday December 27th, 6pm-8pm
Levels: RAD Intermediate Foundation & Up
Will comprise of a Barre and Centre class with a combo at the end drawing on a mix of inspirations from modern dance and contemporary ballet. The class is geared to levels in line with the Royal Academy of Dancing’s Intermediate Foundation and up. Come share in a class that will push ballet off its axis and enjoy movement from a different perspective.
Variations Workshop:
Date: Wednesday, January 3rd 6pm-8pm
An introduction to the stylistic and dramatic “Raymonda Act III Variation 6”. Dancers will have the opportunity to learn this Hungarian style variation while also focusing on performing pure classical technique. This can be performed with or without pointe shoes.
